Overview

Al2014 (AA2014) is a high-strength copper-based aluminum alloy belonging to the 2000 series aluminum family. It is widely used in aerospace, transportation, military, heavy machinery, and high-performance engineering applications where excellent strength-to-weight ratio is required.

Compared with Al2011, Al2014 offers significantly higher mechanical strength and better structural performance, while maintaining good machinability. However, its corrosion resistance and weldability are lower than 6000 series aluminum alloys.
