Overview

Al6061 (AA6061) is one of the most versatile and widely used aluminum alloys in the 6000 series aluminum family. Alloyed primarily with magnesium and silicon, Al6061 offers an excellent balance of strength, corrosion resistance, machinability, weldability, and heat-treatability.
